Janta Curfew - Band Rahega Bharat Toh Swasth Rahega Bharat
In the wake of coronavirus, COVID-19 spread, honourable Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi introduced Nationwide ‘Janta Curfew’ as a precautionary measure to combat the spread of the virus and to laud the efforts of service providers during this life-threatening period.
Janta Curfew was a 14hour curfew (7 am-9 pm) that was implemented on 22nd March 2020, Friday to practice social distancing in the view of the Corona Pandemic. Known to be the world’s Best orator-- the words of Narendra Modi echoes loudly in every heart, and this time too, his appeal for Janta Curfew has made history across the borders with the US lauding India’s inspiring Janta Curfew.
In his statement, the PM said, “Janta Curfew is beginning a long battle. Today countrymen have told us that we are capable, and once we decide we can take on any challenge together.”

As a part of Janta Curfew, the Prime Minister also urged the citizens to clap hands, beat plates or ring bells at 5 pm -- an expression of gratitude for all the doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, government officials, members of armed forces, police, disaster management, and all those who are risking their lives so that we could stay safe.
