Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate all mothers and mother-like figures. It’s a day where we can show our appreciation for the women who have given us life. The origins of Mother’s Day are somewhat contested, but most agree it was first celebrated in 1907 in Grafton, West Virginia. Anna Jarvis started the tradition after her mother died and felt that other mothers deserved recognition as well.
